As detailed in our Environmental Policy, Options is committed to continual improvement, the prevention of pollution and compliance with legislation (e.g. Waste Carriers Licence).
We are currently on course to achieve accreditation to the Environmental standard ISO 14001 and have set ourselves an ambitious target of reducing our carbon footprint by 15% year-on-year. In order to help us achieve this goal, two major directives were embarked upon.
Firstly Options are committed to using recycled materials whenever possible. On-site we will separate reusable and non-reusable material, only removing the non-useable materials and utilising the reusable material. We then ensure materials brought to site are recycled wherever possible, minimising the environmental impact of using new materials.
Secondly, we developed a Directional Drilling (‘No-Dig’) arm to the business, benefits of which include a positive impact on the surrounding wildlife and communities and a reduced need for primary aggregates.
